"small town" portland, maine [steamroller banner]
this banner was influenced by the small town feel and historical past of portland. as a portland history docent, i’ve seen first hand the historical sites throughout the community, and I wanted that history to be reflected in the design. from the typeface personally created to represent the industrial/foodie culture, to the intricate buoy designs representing the working waterfront, numerous islands, and distant mountains, this piece was designed to reflect the community and history the town offers to visitors and locals alike.

hemmed edges and a full black color bleed on the left and right sides, the banner measures 31.5"x49.5". a one inch white border at the top and bottom features a stitched in steel rod allowing the banner to be hung with two wall mounted magnets. this method allows the fabric to flow naturally, ensuring an easy installation without harming the durability or aesthetics.
